I plan on using this information first by setting clear expectations. If everyone knows what is expected, when they have disruptive behavior, it's easier to back it up. And also it is important to listen to all students and make all of them feel valued and important, even the quite ones.

I will set multiple reminders for due dates such as posting it on the board, on schoology, and the syllabus. Deducting points for the assignment being late is important and it will not always be the same students submitting late assignments.

When a instuctor expects perfection from a student and talks down to them, it's not the proper thing to do.

Not preparing and planning for your class.

With my angry students or might I say my students that usually want to act out and keep all attention on them, I usually try to include them in all activities and have more one on one conversations and this usually allows them to know that I care and I don' have as many problems with them.

I constantly deal with students who are on their phones, ipads and computers. this is one of the biggest challenges that I face. What helps me with this is giving them Rubric grading assignments, which are hands on assignments that basicly keep them more grounded in the class.

What I have taken from this is to make sure I have something in place to show for missed assignments and late work.

I liked the reinforcement of connecting real-world scenarios with what students are learning because it will not only get them more engaged but also encourage more retention of what they are learning.

I have decided that the most important way for me is to identify 3 Daily and Meaningful thoughts and tasks to do consistently everyday. I think is will be a welcome addition to my daily life. By doing these, I actually will be focusing on my time with myself. This will be a beginning to nurturing myself so I can offer more to work and family and friends.

Icebreakers are very helpful in getting to know our students and their names. keeping expectations clear and consistent moving forward

Encourage creativity and fostering a positive relationship with students in the key to assisting emotionally intelligent students.  Having a one on one conversation with them and hearing about their lives and successes or challenges is so important for their growth and development.
