School Directors

Pursuant to Ohio Administrative Code 3332-1-08 E/F/G, School Directors are required to complete at least 20 hours of continuing education related to their positions every two years. A minimum of 4 hours of this continuing education must be in courses that are related to compliance and ethics and that have been approved by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools (Board). The following training curriculum satisfies the Ohio continuing education requirements. Each online course listed offers 4 hours of continuing education credit.

Every two years, simply take one course from the list of approved compliance training courses and four additional courses selected from the other courses provided. If you select your additional courses from the certification track, you will earn credit toward the Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP) certification. You will be awarded the designation of CHEP in Campus Operations upon successful completion of twelve certification track courses. Approved compliance courses are part of the certification track.

Institutions that provide training opportunities for their school directors to earn and maintain the CHEP certification may display the Excellence in Campus Operations Recognition Seal on their websites.
