Limit steps to demonstration to 5-7 due to the ability of retention decreased with more steps.

Safety in the lab environment is upmost important. The need to highlight the importance of safety in the lab to the students requires addressing at each lab class. The failure to address wearing PPE's in the class breaches the duty if the instructor in the class. 

Evaluating students can take be done through formative and summative assessments. Formative assesses progress during the course and the summative form assesses at the end the course. Assessing students progress in the laboratory setting can be difficult as it can time for students to time to master a skill depending on their speed at which each learns. 

Each student has a prodominent learning style and would beneficial for each to be familiar which learning style is beneficial for success. The laboratory teaching environment provides students experiential learning. The strategies for lab teaching incorporates coopertive and active learning, which allows students to learn quickly and also motivates students to read the text material. 

It is education that focuses of specific skills and knowledge required to adequately perform the specific work in the real-world.

"Everyone enjoys having his or her name acknowledged and remembered by someone else, especially if the person doing the acknowledging is a person in authority. This is why you must work extra hard at learning the students’ names as quickly as possible from the first day on. You have already called roll so you have had one run through of matching names with students. Also, the students have created name tents so you are looking at faces and names."

I am horrible at remembering names. This will be helpful.

As an instructor, I have to learn the different roles I need to play in the classroom. Being professional at all times is crucial. Motivate students by showing them I love the subject matter and I love teaching them.

A syllabus can be useful in planning every aspect of your instruction. Update it often.

Do not act like you are the smartest person in the room and show your students why you love the subject! Be credible, candid, compassionate, committed, and clear! 

Make a to do list to help you keep on track. Greet your students as they arrive.
